I bought mine used and it still looks like new. Even tho set was made in 1996 today in 2016 they are holding very well without any peeling if the set was preserved well. Set uses decals on the big cabin doors, the mentioned wind deflector, plates and two vents on the top of the hood. Steering is controlled by a small round brick on to p of the cabin which is hidden behind the wind deflector.
For more realistic look LEGO used chrome pieces for the exhaust pipes, antennas, lights on the roof, front and vents on the side of the truck. On the side of the cabin you have a compartment for some tools, there is a shovel attached to the back of the cabin as well. In the back you have a bed to sleep on and a small TV.
You can tilt open the hood to reveal a nicely detailed engine, open both cabin doors to look at the interior that contains two seats, dash steering wheel and some printed slopes so it looks more realistic. The truck itself has many very realistic details. It is not made in minifigure size, but any technic figure can fit in the truck without any issues :) This 1700 piece set is one of the coolest Model Team sets ever made.
